Halloween Parade

Jason's Halloween parade at school was yesterday. So...Caden was a monkey and Jason was a...you guessed it - banana tree (yours truly came up with that one).

This was just too cute not to get a picture of. She was a bubble bath!

"How much longer is this Daddy?"

Jason had a few signs on him that said, "Do not feed the monkey."

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Pumpkin Carving/Painting

We had a lot of fun carving/painting pumpkins this year. It started Thurs. night and ended today with Jason's.
Tracing Caden's hands for his pumpkin so that Jason can later paint the pumpkin.

"Hey, this goopy stuff doesn't feel too bad!"

"Ummm, now I'm not so sure."

"Is this supposed to come off Daddy?" - My finished product.

"You Can't See Me!"

This is Caden's newest "thing" to do. He loves to hide behind his hands or anything that's in his hand. Apparently, we aren't supposed to be able to see him that way? Grandma was playing with him, and he ran into this corner to "hide" :)

I love that smile!

Lion Towel

Caden got this really cute lion towel for his birthday from Aunt April. It's taken this long to get a picture of it, and that's only because my mom was there to take it. It's very tough getting a picture of a toddler during/after bath time.

Toddler Time Take 3

Toddler Time was a lot of fun yesterday. The kids were allowed to go in their costumes, so the place was full of witches, dinosaurs, pumpkins, butterflies, and of course an exceptionally cute monkey (sneak peek at part of his costume)! They had a little parade around the library, and my little guy was with the leader the whole time! He looked for me a few times, but wasn't really concerned (I guess that's a good thing). He also sat nicely to listen to the book but started getting flushed, so I ran over and ripped the costume off. I guess it would be bad parenting if you let your child faint in his costume. As you can see, they glued pieces of a pumpkin onto a wooden back. Caden was a lot more interested in this project than other ones which was nice. Then, when we got home, he was interested in taking it all apart!

Roba's Take 2 - Playing in the Hay

There was a tent full of hay just to jump in. It was surprisingly springy! A few times Caden touched the hay, but then you could see him saying "dirty." That's my boy!
Father and Son
"C'mon Caden, jump like Daddy!"

"Let's go this way, Daddy!"

Just the 3 of us.

I wish I got Jason hopping on the hay on video, that was something to see! My mom pointed out the fact that Caden maked a face when he accidentally touched the hay, and then he didn't use his hands to push back up. It looks like he used his wrists!

Roba's Tree Farm '09

We ventured up to Roba's Tree Farm once again on Sunday for some Fall fun. Caden really had a good time crawling around all the really nice wooden play sets...and I think I even saw a smile on Jason's face a few times too. My mom and sister were here for the weekend, so we wanted to show them how fun it is there too...but I don't think I got any pictures of my mom...sorry Mom!

"Am I supposed to be able to see over the steering wheel?"

"Is it our turn yet on the slide?"

"Peek-a-boo!"

We all decided to crawl into this one which was easier said than done. You'll notice Jason is standing behind the truck.

You'll notice they are walking away from this very rusty old truck. No climbing for Caden there!
Taking a break for some applesauce before the pig races.

Enjoying???? the pig races.

And they're off!

Jason and Caden decided to literally squeeze into this little kid ride. Caden seemed to enjoy it once they started going, but as soon as they started up the tractor, he covered his eyes! So cute.

Aunt Erin pushed a seemingly very tired little boy out to the car though he did not sleep going home or even when we got home. It was a fun day had by all!
