Garbage

Thanks to Toy Story 3, Caden talks a lot about garbage and being a garbage collector. Here's some of the "garbage" he collected the other day.

"My Brothers"

Caden has been having a blast playing with his Halloween candy. He asks for a piece every once in awhile, but would much rather, "separate by color" as he says.
The other day, he lined these pieces up and said, "These are my brothers." I guess he has to pretend since he doesn't have any? Anyhow, I said that I would take a picture of him with his brothers, so in this picture he is saying, "Say cheese brothers!"

Big Machine

After seeing this big machine digging in our yard Caden decided to get creative and make one himself.

He flipped over his Mega Bloks wagon and smashed the blocks like the digger? (I don't know the names of construction stuff) did in our yard. He first had me break them up with his toy drill (which he called a jack hammer).

Caden the Magnificient

On 10/18 (I'm a little behind) Caden put on a magic show for Abby and me. He was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse that morning and Goofy put on a magic show too. Caden tried to say the magic words "hocus pocus" but kept saying "pocus pocus". I guess they work too. He did have some help with coming up with tricks to perform, but he was the one that wanted to do the show and set up the "stage" for it.

His first trick was making two blankets disappear. Bet you can't guess where they went!
I think he was just drumming on his "stage" in this picture. (The blankets are still gone!)
Getting ready for his second trick...
making water disappear!!
His final trick (before he disappeared under some blankets) was making a tower out of "wood" (a.k.a. magnets).
The cutest audience member.

Tunnel Faces

You apparently need to have the ability to make many faces if you want to play in a tunnel.

Swimming & Playing (Busy Weekends Part 2)

The following Saturday (7/31) we went to my mom's to celebrate her birthday. We went swimming at my Uncle Jeff and Aunt Bonnie's and then just in case we weren't tired enough, we went to a park in Lewisburg that a friend of mine mentioned on her blog...thanks Marisa!

Abby was just so excited to go swimming...
she could hardly keep her eyes open.
Mammy bought this "peng-one" for Caden to float it. He would much rather be in that than be held (thanks Mammy).
It was really hard to get him to look at the camera. He's not camera shy...maybe camera annoyed because I'm always taking pictures???

He wanted to give the goggles a try.
Abigail finally woke up and was able to test the waters. I think that swim suit is just so cute!
She really didn't react much to it.
Again...she's so thrilled!

Then it was off to the awesome toddler park with rubber flooring:

He pretty much ran the whole time which is no surprise. What a great day!

"Really Cool Car"

Our very generous neighbors gave Caden yet another toy their son has outgrown...a battery powered Hummer. Caden loves just sitting in it and playing. They had also given us a helmet that's a little big, but we still use it for when he's in his "really cool car."

Jason had it charged, but he ended up pushing since Caden didn't quite get the hang of stepping on the pedal.

Horseshoes

We decided to try out Caden's new horseshoe set that he got from the Easter Bunny at Mammy's house the other day. He had a good time throwing them as you can tell from the video. He thinks you have to walk up to the other peg and throw from there towards the trees.

"Where Oh Where"

"Where oh where is Caden?
Where oh where could he be?
He has red hair and blue eyes.
Where oh where could he be?"

"There he is!"

Kitchen in a Kitchen

The other day Jason and I were just talking in the living room when out of the corner of our eyes, we saw something sliding across the floor. For some reason Caden felt like pushing his kitchen into the kitchen. We asked why, and he said, "exercise."

Tent

The tunnel that Caden got from Aunt Erin also had a tent to go with it. We set that up the other night just to see what it looked like. As you can see...Caden LOVED it! It was very hard to get his picture while playing.

You can see the bent frame already...my fault.

You can kinda tell there is a hole behind Caden where the tunnel can be connected.

A picture of his face...purely luck!
I think he's studying how this thing is put together.
