Vacation Bible School

Caden, Max, and Jacob

Last week Caden went to Vacation Bible School at a local United Methodist church with two of his friends, Max, and Jacob.  He had a great time.  They had a little show on Friday with all the kids (over 140).  We had a count down from the time he signed up to the day it started (20 days total).  He's already asking about next year.

Library Card

Last Monday, Caden got his own library card.  He was pretty excited!

Sleeping Bag

Caden pulled out his sleeping bag the other night after I already tucked him in.  When I went to check on him, this is what I found:

He actually stayed there all night!  I think he has the sleeping bag out again tonight :)  Is he hinting that he would like to go camping?

Black Olives

Bowling

Caden went bowling for the first time the other weekend with our friends Cheri and Jacob. We had a blast! The boys are so cute together. Caden refers to him as his brother.

Caden's First Hockey Game

Last Friday evening, Caden went to his first Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins hockey game with Daddy, Nana, and Papa. He was soooo excited!

This little vehicle Tux drove was one of the first things he told me about the game.

Of course he loved the zamboni! Jason said he kept asking when it was going to come out.
When I asked him the next morning what it was like, he said, "It was like being in the Arctic!" :)

Just the Fit

Long Lashes

Caden told me the other day that a girl at preschool asked him if he was wearing stuff on his eyelashes to make them look long. I asked him what he said to her, and he said he just laughed.

Socks

This is Caden's newest fun thing to do. When he's in his room for his nap/rest time, he's been putting many socks on one foot. Take a guess at how many. If you guessed 11...you're right!

Tearing Papers

Caden has recently discovered his obvious joy for tearing up paper. He usually does it every day at least once, and will sit for awhile tearing. It's great!

On The Phone

The other night Caden wanted to call Mammy, so once it started ringing, I handed over the phone. He didn't say "hello" right away, but once he did, he didn't stop talking...or walking :)

Caden loves dancing around in front of his reflection...quite amusing to watch.

Birthday Parties

The past two weekends, Caden has had two different birthday parties for friends that we met at the library. The first set of pictures were for Jacob's party, and the second set were for Max and Johnny. We had a great time at both!

He had a blast on this truck...where he was most of the time.

They had water guns for the kids, and Caden had a great time with these too. There was another mother there telling her son, "Just spray the plants and bugs, not adults", so Caden said as I filled up his, "I know mom, just the plants, not adults." Nice that he listens to other moms too (probably better than me sometimes).

The following are Max and Jonny's birthday party:

He sat himself down to take a drink.

I love how Jacob and Caden are standing back, trying to figure out if they want to get wet or not. Luckily only shoes got wet.

Caden LOVED these water balloons (even though it never broke) ...and had a great time tossing to Jacob.

Caden was so excited for the pinata, but it broke before he got there.

He has trouble remembering to stay in line, so Jacob helped keep a hold of him...so cute!

They also did an egg toss...and the egg never broke either!

Finally Jacob's dad threw it in the air, and it broke when it landed.

Our last event was potato sack races. Caden ended up walking rather than hopping.
