Spring Cleaning?

Caden decided to do some Spring cleaning for me the other day by taking out EVERYTHING from the lazy Susan in the corner cupboard. Thankfully, he did help put it all back in then too. At least it helped me remember what all was in there.

Toddler Time Part 3

Last Wednesday was another Toddler Time at the library. We read an alphabet book (can't remember the title) where all the letters climbed a coconut tree, so the craft was a coconut tree with their name on it. Caden did VERY well this time. He's been practicing sitting still with his Daddy while I read to him at night. I guess it's helping! He did get tired of the craft though I think because everyone else was playing.

Sunshine 33 Weeks

I meant to have a picture with the 29 week post, but time just slipped by. So, here's the 33 week picture (just 2 days late). Still doing/feeling well. I have no energy, but other than that, we're great!

More Snow Pictures, Different Day

Last Thursday, after getting more snow, just Jason and Caden went out this time. They decided it would be fun to throw a snowball at me inside the house. That's what's happening on the first 2 pictures.

Jason needed different gloves from me, and then realized he left Caden alone...he looks so tiny!
"Yeah, this is fun!"

Quick Tater Tot Bake

Here's another easy recipe from my family that we all enjoy:

*1-2 lb ground beef or turkey
1 small onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1 package (16 oz.) frozen tater tots (or whatever amount covers the dish)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 soup can milk or water
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or whatever is on hand)
**frozen/canned peas (any amount)

In a skillet, brown the meat and onion. Drain any fat. Season with salt and pepper. Place in a greased 2 1/2 qt. casserole dish. Top with tots. Combine soup and milk. Pour over potatoes. Add frozen peas. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

*The original recipe calls for 1 lb., but after making it today, I think I might try 2 lbs. next time.

**My grandma was the one that thought to add the peas to the dish, that's why it's really whatever amount you want to use.

"Slide Down" with Ella

Last Friday, after a lot of snow (to us at least), Jason joined our neighbors, Bob and Ella, in the snow. They decided to try out our hilly backyard again, which worked well. Our tube just sank in the snow, but their black sled was great for the kids. They had a great time.
