Quick Tater Tot Bake

Here's another easy recipe from my family that we all enjoy:

*1-2 lb ground beef or turkey
1 small onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1 package (16 oz.) frozen tater tots (or whatever amount covers the dish)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 soup can milk or water
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or whatever is on hand)
**frozen/canned peas (any amount)

In a skillet, brown the meat and onion. Drain any fat. Season with salt and pepper. Place in a greased 2 1/2 qt. casserole dish. Top with tots. Combine soup and milk. Pour over potatoes. Add frozen peas. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

*The original recipe calls for 1 lb., but after making it today, I think I might try 2 lbs. next time.

**My grandma was the one that thought to add the peas to the dish, that's why it's really whatever amount you want to use.
