On the 24th, we took a day trip to the Philly Zoo. We unfortunately weren't able to meet up with my sister-in-law this time. It really is a fun, nice zoo to visit, and very easy to get to. We got there around 11 and left around 3, so allow yourself at least 4 hours.
Caden and Abby (you can see her little finger pointing) both seemed to enjoy the naked mole rats running around. They are in cute in a twisted sort of way.
Last year they had Lego animals everywhere. This year it was a Jim Henson puppet theme about extinct or almost extinct animals.
After lunch, we discovered this really fun place called the Tree House. It's for zoo members only, but not sure how particular they are about it. I don't think they checked our membership either time we went...yes, we were there twice. :)
It's very hard to tell, but if you look through that little hole in the root, you can kinda make out Caden. He was going down a little slide.
This is a sloth bear. I had never heard of it before. The way it moved though, it looked fake, like it was mechanical.

What a great trip to the zoo. I love the pictures of Abby in the egg shell. Caden looks so cute trying to imitate the flamingos. Great pictures for the end of the story; the kids sleeping!!
Alex always sleeps on the way home too! It's a lot of walking but a really nice zoo. We have a season pass to it! Glad you had fun!!
